Episode 14: 'How to Train Your Dragon 2'

"Oooh, there's a naked nymph on this cover. Don't look, listeners!"

Welcome to episode fourteen of J&J, where everything's better in two's, even gigantic alpha dragons! This week the guys rave about/nitpick over film #49021, 'How to Train Your Dragon 2'. Back in Berk after four years, can Dreamworks hold a flame to the original tale? Can Hiccup save his village from Djimon Hounsou? But-at-the-same-time can he ever grow to fill his father's shoes? But-at-the-same-time will he ever meet his mom? And what about the bookends? THE BOOKENDS?!

As usual, Jon rambles about something (gangster movies) until he finally arrives at a somewhat pointed question ('Why is film noire assumedly better than the horror genre?'). Joel will retcon everything, then use a terrible, terrible word. Jon will make note of the only two throwaway lines in the film, and also say the word "cerebleral". (Not a real word. Until now.) Black water, and Megan Fox as April O'Neil, and scorpions coming out of a guy's belly? Yep, it's just another day in the life of the J's, and they hope you enjoy it!
